Trim or cut your images as needed
Do this while the frosting sheet is still on the backing and while it is still flexible.
Carefully use a pair of sharp scissors or a craft knife.
Its as easy as cutting paper!
Tip for cupcake toppers: you can first apply your sheet over fondant (see step 2 & 3), and use a circular cookie cutter to gently stamp them out easily and quickly. Then use buttercream or icing to stick them to the cupcakes.
Separate the Icing Sheets from the plastic backing
Gently roll the backing sheet over the edge of a table or counter (with image facing up) to loosen the image.
If that doesn't work, simply place the icing sheet flat in the freezer for a few seconds, then repeat the above step. The image should pop off the backing sheet.
Apply the Icing Sheet
Make sure your cake or cupcake has frosting applied to its surface. You can apply the Edible Topper Sheets to a variety of frostings such as Fresh Buttercream or Non-Dairy topping, Fondant, Marzipan, and even Ice Cream.
Before the frosting on your cake has had time to form a skin or crust, lower the topper sheet onto the cake from the middle outward, carefully and gently smoothing it out with either your hand or a small roller.
Finish decorating your cake. You can pipe over topper sheets but take care not to puncture the sheet with your decorating tip.
Our toppers can last a good few weeks as it is made out of mainly icing sugar. As long as you keep it flat inside the plastic sleeve a dry, dark cool place like a cupboard or pantry until you’re ready to use it. Don’t store in the fridge as this could cause the picture to dry out, fade or blur. Keep it in the plastic sleeve until you want to use it. Always handle with care.
Topper sheets do not stick well to a high moisture base, such as whipped creams, they may slide around.
Toppers will stick better to hard frostings such as Royal Icing, Fondant or Marzipan if you apply a thin coating of a buttercream, piping jelly or spray a fine mist of water (not too much) on top of the frosting.
If your frosting (such as buttercream) has formed a crust, brush or mist spray with a tiny bit of water before applying the printed frosting sheet.
Do not add extra moisture to non-dairy whipped toppings.

What is the lead time for the printable images?
I just need about 48 hours in advance notice if you are picking it up, or about 5-10 days if you need to have it posted to you.
If I put the image on the cake tonight will it still be ok tomorrow?
Yes it will, just store your cake in a container and put it in a cool dark place like your pantry cupboard. Don't put in the fridge as it may dry out, fade or blur.
Do the toppers contain any egg or gluten?
No, they are made of icing sugar. Full ingredients list: water, corn starch, corn syrup, corn gum, sugar, modified starch, glycerine, polysorbate, vanilla, artificial color, citrid acid. The edible inks are made of water, glycerin, ethanol, preservative and FDA approved colourants.
Do I need to specify the size of the image?
The topper sheets have a max print area of 20cm x 25 cm. I will your images as best i can to that size. To ensure the images don't get cut off or touch the edge i make it a little smaller than that. If you have a square cake, you can go up to just under 20x20cm. If you have a round cake it can go up to around 18-19cm in diameter. For smaller sizes to fit a particular size cake or shape just let me know what you need. I can send you a photo of how it prints out, and the measurement of the size it's coming out as to make sure you're happy with it.
What are your payment options?
I usually use bank transfer. Once your order is confirmed i'll send you the details. You just need to use your name as a reference and send me back the payment confirmation. I also accept cash - you can leave it in an envelope under my door on pickup.
Can I put a few images onto one page and cut them out?
Yes, you can send me the images you want to fit to the sheet and i'll let you know how big they come out as when printed. When you cut them just leave the back plastic on while you cut it. Just makes it easier to handle them so you can pull the plastic off before you put it on the cake topping.
How long does the sheet keep for?
The toppers can last a good few weeks as it is only made out of icing sugar. As long as you keep it flat inside the sleeve in a dark cool place like a cupboard till you ready to use it. Don't put it in the fridge as the image can dry out, fade or blur.
Do they do well on a cheesecake or are they better on a thicker buttercream?
You can use it on both buttercream and cheesecake. On the cheesecake you should only put it on just before you want to serve it, as it can't be stored in the fridge, but with buttercream you can apply it a few hours before the time. Keep it in a dry cool place like a cupboard.
Can you split a photo into two parts to make a long image?
This works best if you send me your image in two pieces already split up so i can put them each on a sheet for you. Please note the cost is per sheet so that means it would be $40 (2 sheets). It may be tricky to line them up perfectly when you're applying them.
